Asheebo Rojas, Ph.D.
Instructor
I received my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology & Physiology from Georgia State University in 2007. My research spans a number of neurobiology fields with a broad interest in brain network physiology. A major focus of my research has been to investigate the cause and molecular basis of neuropathology induced by seizures. I have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology & physiology, neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology and electrophysiology. I have worked on a variety of projects driven by animal model development and in vivo drug testing. In addition to performing research, I spend time supervising and mentoring laboratory technicians and students in my role as Instructor. I also enjoy lecturing in multiple graduate courses in the Molecular and Systems Pharmacology program as well as the Anesthesiology Assistants program.
Outside of the lab I enjoy attending sporting events. I am an avid sports fan and I enjoy watching all sports although my favorite by far is football (American).
